On February 22, 2025, the Yves Alves Cultural Center in Tiradentes (MG) will host an unmissable event: “Conversations with Tiradentes – Paths and Identity of Narratives,” organized by Negritudes Globo in partnership with the Rouanet Institute. With free admission and a fully booked capacity, the event will bring together leading figures from cinema, theater, and literature to discuss representation and the challenges of building Black narratives within Brazilian culture.

Featured Participants

The event will feature Clayton Nascimento and Lázaro Ramos, both renowned actors and directors who have made a significant impact on Brazilian theater and television. Philosopher and writer Renato Nogueira, along with acclaimed author and director Rosane Svartman, will also join the discussions, sharing reflections on identity and ways to expand the visibility of diverse stories in audiovisual media and literature.

The conversation will be moderated by TV Globo journalist Aline Aguiar, who will guide the dialogue on creating authentic and representative narratives, connecting the diverse perspectives and experiences of the guests.

The Importance of the Event for Culture and Representation

This initiative aims to foster an essential dialogue about diversity, identity, and the importance of Black representation in the media and cultural sectors. The program reinforces the commitment of the Rouanet Institute and Globo to valuing a plurality of voices within Brazil’s artistic production.

The event will take place at the Yves Alves Cultural Center, located at Rua Direita, 168, in Tiradentes (MG), from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Although registration is full, the discussions promise to spark important reflections within the Brazilian cultural landscape.
